We met Kara and Christian at the very first bridal show we exhibited, and I’m telling you: there is no better validation of your work than the compliments you receive from those who are in the industry and those who are in the art industry! Kara and Christian were both students at Oglethorpe University, which is actually where they met and fell in love. Kara was an art major with a vested interest in Renaissance art, and Christian was studying film. Because of their connection to OU, we decided to shoot their engagement session on the gorgeous campus, which many have likened to something out of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry–particularly with its Gothic feel and stone architecture. In fact, one of the photos here was shot in front of a fireplace that has often been compared to that of the one in the House of Gryffindor. It really is quite beautiful, so we’ll admit that, on occasion, we’ve shamelessly snuck on to the campus for a couple of previous shoots! :) Anyhow, these two are such a fun couple, and we really enjoyed getting to know them and spending time with them! Their wedding was May 31st in Decatur–pictures will be coming soon (we’re in the final stages of sitting down with the couple to work on their wedding album now that we’ve completed their creative session)!

In case you’re wondering about this last shot…I couldn’t not include it, as strange as it is. It tells a compelling story of these two in that Kara was the one who originally pursued Christian. :)
